Kansas native Logan Mize is bringing his heartland country rock show to the UK in October after two recent successful tours round the United States.
It’s a welcome return to the UK, having entertained at this year’s Country to Country festival and Nashville Meets London in 2016.
He’ll be playing songs from his 2017 album Come Back Road, which has been streamed over 138 million times, and from his new EP From The Vault. “I don’t think there’s anything out there that’s as raw and “authentically me” as this body of music,” he explained. Here’s his latest single, Something Just Like This.
Playing at established venues like Bush Hall in London and Manchester’s Night & Day Café, it’s a far cry from the way he cut his teeth and made his name. He booked a 20,000 mile, two month acoustic tour of America through social media, and operated his own sound and lighting each night. He’s since toured with modern country music leading lights like Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley.
It seems that music was in the blood. His great uncle Billy Mize was known for developing the Bakersfield sound, combining country and rock ‘n’ roll, typified by the music of Merle Haggard and Buck Owens.
The UK tour was extended due to popular demand – here are the updated dates:
Saturday, October 19, 2019: The Black Box, Belfast
