What would you do after 10 million streams? Brown & Gray went on a winery crawl!

Many new artists must secretly hope that their debut single becomes a runaway hit; very few actually get to experience it. It happened for Kaci Brown & Sam Gray. The ball started rolling when America’s biggest country station, Sirius XM’s The Highway flagged Top Down as a ‘Highway Find’ and played it over 1000 times.

Other stations followed suit, then Rolling Stone listed the duo as one of their Top 10 Country Artists to watch in 2018 (an accolade that Music Closeup favourite Emily Faye has also received). Over here in the UK, it was one of the ten most played songs on Radio 2 when it was added to the playlist.

Then…a club remix made it to the Top 10 of the UK Dance Charts, Radio Disney and another Sirius XM playlist. The single was catapulted into the Billboard Top 40 airplay chart 15 months after its original release! All in all, Top Down has had over 10 million streams, 40,000 iTunes downloads, and 2.6 million YouTube views.

So, what’s next after a smash like that? Brown & Gray figured a trip around Napa Valley wineries would be a great way to celebrate and film their new video, Last To Know, at the same time.

The modern break-up song with a subtly catchy chorus is hitting the same playlists as their debut, proving they’re no one hit wonder.

The single is out now on all major digital services.
