Michael Ray shares a poignant, cinematic video ahead of his UK tour

We’ve been focusing on videos recently so we couldn’t let Michael Ray’s latest promo pass. It’s thoughtful, cinematic, and stars One Tree Hill’s Chad Michael Murray.

It’s no wonder that Ray could envisage the heartbreak of the end of a relationship, as the video dramatises the pain of his parents’ divorce, which was the catalyst for him finding solace in country music. “When my parents were going through their divorce is when my grandfather started teaching me guitar chords – it was my outlet. It was my way to get away from all the hell and chaos that was going on.” Ray’s new album, Amos, is named after Ray’s grandfather, and the video alludes to his own grief.

Her World Or Mine shows another side to Ray after the success of his carefree number one single, One That Got Away.

Happily, Ray can’t relate to either relationship experience as he recently married country singer Carly Pearce. There’s not much time for a honeymoon as Ray’s on his way over to the UK for a five day headline tour:

Tuesday, October 22, 2019: Bush Hall, London
Wednesday, October 23, 2019: Institute 3, Birmingham
Thursday, October 24, 2019: Arts Club Loft, Liverpool
Friday, October 25, 2019: Night & Day Café, Manchester
Sunday, October 27, 2019: Stereo, Glasgow

Tour tickets and Ray’s sophomore album, Amos, are available now.
