2013 was a seminal year for Irish band Little Green Cars. They performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and played at SXSW, Coachella and Lollapalooza festivals, all while being feted by the BBC alongside Haim, Chvrches and Savages. Their debut album that same year hit number 1 on the Irish charts and number 19 on the U.S. Heatseekers chart, while the follow up in 2016 was number 2 on the Irish charts.
With this level of success, it was a surprise when they disbanded in March 2019. Not to worry, though. 4/5 of the band are back as Soda Blonde!
Soda Blonde’s new EP is a laid-back combination of pop, rock and synth sounds, with vocals reminiscent of Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush.
They’re heading out on a tour of Ireland with a handful of dates in England for good measure so you can check out the new sound for yourself.
