12 years after recording the debut album in a remote cabin, Bon Iver will be playing arenas!

One interesting thing about the Americana musician crowd is that there’s a huge amount of love for Bon Iver to go round. They’re not alone in that, of course. The video for iMi, released just three months ago, has over 1.8 million views already!

12 years since Justin Vernon retreated to a cabin in Wisconsin for three months to record the debut record For Emma, Forever Ago and seven years since winning a Grammy for Best New Artist, Bon Iver has announced a UK arena tour to play to as many fans as possible.

April 26, 2020: SSE Arena Wembley, London
April 27, 2020: Arena Birmingham, Birmingham
April 29, 2020: First Direct Arena, Leeds
April 30, 2020: Manchester Arena, Manchester
May 1, 2020: SSE Hydro, Glasgow
May 3, 2020: 3Arena, Dublin

The tour will be supported by Aaron Dessner’s Big 37d03d Machine. That makes sense considering that Dessner from The National previously collaborated with Vernon on a project called Big Red Machine, and 37d03d is their artist’s collective which spawned a eponymous festival. Wondering what the name means? Think back to high school and turning your calculator upside down to read a secret message; it’s ‘people’!

Tickets are available now.
