Any Neighbours fan lucky enough to have visited Australia back in the day will be familiar with Dr. Karl Kennedy actor/legend Alan Fletcher’s live performance skill from the raucous Neighbours Night in St. Kilda and venues around Melbourne.

His musical career has gone from strength to strength with several successful UK tours under his belt. Now he’s back! For a sense of what to expect on Alan Fletcher’s UK tour dates in 2024, bear in mind that his latest single is called For The Love of Lager. That’s right, he knows exactly what unites Aussie and British crowds, along with lots of comic banter, stories, and singalongs.

The lowdown on Alan Fletcher’s UK tour

Impressively, and true to form, the tour doesn’t rely on the typical international artist’s cursory visits to capital cities. Instead, the 19 date tour will see Fletcher perform in a variety of traditionally underserved regions including Aberdeenshire, Norfolk, Cornwall, and Warwickshire. Variation extends to the types of venue too. As well as standard concert stages, he’ll delight crowds at pubs and bars, theatres and art centres, a farm, and even a library!

Flipping the script yet further, Fletcher’s eschewing the usual trick of using the tour as a mobile advert for a final show in London. In fact, he’s opening the tour at The Bedford in Balham instead. The triumphant finale will be saved for northern powerhouse festival Kendal Calling.

If you’ve got an aching to join Fletcher’s mass singalongs for fan pleasers like (I’ve Got A) Crush on Susie K and perhaps a handful of covers like Mr. Brightside, a particular highlight is sure to be his turn at The Cavern Club in Liverpool. Not only because of the history of the venue (yes, we know it’s not the original, but it’s at the same address and built with original bricks). It’s also because Fletcher is a huge Liverpool F.C. fan. In fact, one of the loudest cheers we’ve ever heard at a grassroots venue is the moment they won the UEFA Champions League Final and Fletcher bounded back on stage wearing a Liverpool shirt for the encore!

To be fair, it would be worth the ticket price alone just to check out what’s on the merch desk. After all, he’s rocked this inspired KENNEDYS beaut as a tote bag and a t-shirt in the past! Yes, I own both.
