Corrine Bailey Rae, which will mark its 20th anniversary in 2026, received Grammy and BRIT Award nominations. The hit single from that album, Put Your Records On, has been streamed over 1 BILLION times.

“The songs on that record were moments from my life, and those songs went on to change my life, forever. I love them and can’t wait to perform all of them in this magical venue. I’ve always wanted to perform at The Royal Albert Hall with my own show. It’s an iconic building and I’m honoured to be revisiting my debut album in this grand setting.

Corinne Bailey Rae Biography

Bailey Rae’s musical background is more interesting than you might imagine. She grew up performing in church youth groups. Their output included worship albums…and Primal Scream covers! Then, when she was around 15, she formed an indie band called Helen inspired by Veruca Salt and L7. A prospective deal with Roadrunner Records fell through, Helen disbanded, and that was that for a band we didn’t know we needed.

On the other side of that tantalising sliding door, Bailey Rae released her soulful debut record and the rest was history. She’s been nominated for six GRAMMY awards and won two, as well as two MOBO awards and a BET award.

She has collaborated with myriad artists, including Mary J. Blige, Al Green, Herbie Hancock, and Paul McCartney. In July 2026, she’ll be supporting Snow Patrol for a huge gig at Ludlow Castle in Shropshire.

Put Your Records On children’s picture book

Corinne Bailey Rae’s mega hit single inspired the forthcoming children’s book, Put Your Records On. The picture book, written by Bailey Rae with illustrations by Gillian Eilidh O’Mara, celebrates music’s ability to soothe or energise us when we need it most to help kids realise that they’re not alone in their emotions.

The paperback will be released in the UK on March 3, 2026, through Fox And Ink. It is available for pre-order now.

Bailey Rae celebrated her literary associations with this performance at the 76th Annual National Book Awards ceremony on November 19, 2025.

2026 is looking particularly bright for Bailey Rae, with two live albums and a documentary release also on the horizon. Watch this space!
