Kneecap Crystal Palace Park: June 27, 2026
So, how have Kneecap earned such a huge headling show since starting in 2017? Well, they present hip-hop as a potent and revolutionary force, smashing barricades and barriers at the same time. Mixed together with punk and rave music and mentalities, they’ve offered something potent, politically-charged and different.
Buzz about Kneecap’s breakthrough concept album Fine Art (2024), released in tandem with their BAFTA-winning and Academy Award-nominated feature film, Kneecap, starring Michael Fassbender was, well, capped off with an infamous Glastonbury set and a high-profile court case.
Notoriety is part of the performance – whether it’s arriving at Sundance in a police Land Rover or encouraging thousands of young people to learn Irish and participate in community and collective action.

What to expect from the Kneecap Crystal Palace Park show
Loudly speaking out against censorship resonates in the live environment as much as the legal space. Kneecap have famously courted controversy and never backed down, earning support and solidarity across the spectrum from Elton John to Paul Weller, and from Noel Gallagher to Massive Attack.
“I just was so knocked out, by the energy they had and the vitality they had…what they talk about is political, and there’s not many bands that do that…I love the energy. I love everything about them.”
– Elton John
Safe to say, Kneecap are well up for this massive Crystal Palace Park show with its huge platform, literally and symbolically.
“Back to the belly of the beast for our biggest ever headline show. Our last wee venture into London was to beat the government in court…again. This time it’ll be even better: 25,000 sound heads in a park together. We’re delighted to have some of our best mates and best bands around to join us. This is one we can’t wait for.”
– Kneecap
Crystal Palace Park venue
Crystal Palace Park is London’s original outdoor concert venue. It has hosted historic shows by The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and Pink Floyd! But hosting Kneecap and Gurriers together with all the other bands proudly celebrating Irish music and culture is set to be something else entirely. Just make sure the dinosaur statues are OK, OK?
The Kneecap Crystal Palace Park show is part of a series of huge outdoor gigs that also includes Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines, Snow Patrol and Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, and The Offspring with Dropkick Murphys and Pennywise

Support bands
The Mary Wallopers are a rabble-rousing Irish ballad group with the energy of Dead Kennedys, brandishing bass, drums, accordion and tin whistles.
Also showcasing at this massive Crystal Palace Park show are Fat Dog, Biig Piig, Gurriers, and experimental folk band Madra Salach.
