Lindsay Ell – It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas

Lindsey Ell was the most nominated female artist at this year’s Canadian Country Music Awards with five nominations. To celebrate the year, Ell released a reimagined version of It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas complete with her accomplished acoustic and electric guitar work.

Lainey Wilson – Christmas Cookies

Lainey Wilson’s version of George Strait’s Christmas Cookies aims to transport you back in time to a picturesque Norman Rockwell Christmas in the South with a shot of cheekiness for good measure.

Pistol Annies – Snow Globe

Country supergroup Pistol Annies (Miranda LambertAshley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley) released a holiday album this year featuring originals and a few classics like Merle Haggard’s If We Make It Through December. You can find performance videos of songs from Hell Of A Holiday on YouTube; here’s Snow Globe.

Nashvillains – Christmas in A Bottle

Nashvillains wrote Christmas in a Bottle to raise awareness for those struggling with mental health, seasonal depression, and/or substance abuse. Troy Johnson explained “the holiday season can be pretty hard on good people, and our new Christmas song attempts to comfort those in less-than-ideal situations this year…telling them they’re not alone. We get it.”

Catherine MacLellan – Calling You Home (For The Holidays)

Canadian singer-songwriter Catherine MacLellan explained that she wrote Calling You Home (For The Holidays) in “Christmas 2020, feeling very far from family and friends that would normally gather around my kitchen table for feasts and laughter. This song is a reminder to reach out to those dear to you. When we can’t be with those we love, we can connect on the phone, in letters or in spirit.” It’s taken from her new four-song EP, Home. She engineered, produced, and played most of the instruments on the record.

Tebey – Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

Tebey’s version of this holiday classic was recorded and filmed at Vibe Recordings in Nashville. He was joined by artists and friends Chrystal Leigh, Tyler Joe Miller, Mariya Stokes, Dave “Dwave” Thompson, Casadie Pederson and producer Danick Dupelle on the gang chorus vocals.

Brett Eldredge – Mr. Christmas

After the success of Brett Eldredge’s duet with Kelly Clarkson in 2020, he’s back with a new holiday album, Mr. Christmas. It’s packed with classics like It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and Merry Christmas Baby.

Obviously, we can’t resist Kelly Clarkson, so here’s their duet too!
