Krankenhaus Festival 2022 will take place between August 26 and 29 in the Lake District. It will be hosted by Sea Power who worked with Aerial to curate the line-up. Krankenhaus is a micro-festival; the inaugural 2019 edition had just 500 attendees but many of them dubbed it the festival of the year. This year, the capacity is 750.
Location and transportation
The festival will take place at Muncaster Castle near Ravenglass, Cumbria, CA18 1RQ.
The closest mainline train station is Ravenglass.
Car parking tickets are £15 for the weekend can be purchased in advance if you’re staying overnight. Better yet, if you’re staying offsite, your car parking will be free during the day!
Tickets
Tickets are available online. Under 16s can attend but they must be with an accompanying adult aged 21 or over. There’s a tiered pricing system for children. Tickets for children under 3 are free.
Logistics and accessibility
Music takes place on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and even Monday – with the nice touch that it finishes before the last trains leave the area. There will also be readings, talks, access to the castle, and raptor displays.
Dogs are welcome, as long as they are on a lead in festival areas – and you clean up after them, of course!
If you’re taking alcohol to your camping pitch, make sure to transfer anything that’s in a glass bottle into a plastic bottle instead.
There won’t be any cash machines on-site so try to take enough to last. Otherwise, you’ll face a drive or a 30-minute walk.
