Lauren Housley tour caps off her incredible year

Lauren Housley

The Lauren Housley tour is well underway. It caps off a fantastic year for the Sheffield singer-songwriter, during which she released her breakthrough third album, and received coveted funding and a special award!

Lauren Housley

In April 2021, Housley released her third album, Girl From The North, on her own label. The record charted on three different Official charts; Country (#4), Americana (#8), and Folk (#13). That’s a rare feat.

Her single, This Aint The Life, was added to the BBC Radio 2 Playlist. Her debut single was playlisted on BBC Radio 2 back in 2015, so this marked a fantastic full circle.

Also, Bob Harris chose to play all four of her new singles on his Radio 2 Country Show. No wonder, then, that he chose her as the winner of the UK Americana Awards 2022 Bob Harris Emerging Artist award. She will receive the award, and also find out whether she has won the award for UK Song of The Year during the AMA-UK awards ceremony at Hackney Empire on January 27, 2022!

Additionally, Housley was selected as a PPL/PRS momentum music fund recipient. The grant helps artists on the tipping point of their career take the next steps towards success.

Lauren Housley tour dates

Fellow Americana musician Robbie Cavanagh is the support artist on all of the dates. Cavanagh will also be playing acoustic guitar in Housley’s band. Mark Lewis (Yola, John Smith), Thomas Dibb (John Smith, Magpie Arc), and Xavier Winton are the other members of the band.
