Many 21 years olds are just contemplating their first real job, but Willow is a veteran at her career. She’s already 11 years into her musical career and has released five albums.
Her recent single t r a n s p a r e n t s o u l was a certified Gold smash that went top 5 at alternative radio. Willow Smith explained “The solitude [of quarantine] allowed me to introspect and really let go of the insecurities I had about making a project in this genre.”
She needn’t have worried – it’s been streamed over 250 million times to date. Now, she’s dropped a remix of the song featuring King Cudi, with Blink-182’s Travis Barker on drums.
Meanwhile, fan-favourite Meet Me At Our Spot has cracked the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart, made it to the coveted Radio 1 A-List, and is rising up the U.S. charts. It’s also certified Gold. The performance video has been viewed 33 million times, which testifies to her live skill.
UK fans will get a chance to check Willow’s live show out for themselves. The lucky ones are those who got tickets to her December 9, 2021, headline show at Electric Ballroom; it sold out in minutes. Everyone else doesn’t have to miss out, though. That’s because Willow will be supporting Billie Eilish on her UK tour in February 2022.
