GRAMMY® Award winning singer-songwriter Jennifer Nettles forged her reputation in the renowned country duo Sugarland, while adding to her country kudos by portraying Dolly Parton’s mother in several TV movies.
She crossed genres by duetting with Bon Jovi on Who Says You Can’t Go Home, and now she’s ready to completely transcend country with Always Like New, a versatile album of American Songbook classics.
She partnered with GRAMMY® and Tony® Award-winning orchestrator Alex Lacamoire – who has worked on Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and In the Heights – to reimagine, arrange and produce beloved songs from the stage.
- Wouldn’t It Be Loverly (My Fair Lady)
- Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat (Guys and Dolls)
- Wait For It (Hamilton)
- Almost Like Being In Love (Brigadoon)
- It All Fades Away featuring Brandi Carlile (The Bridges Of Madison County)
- There’s A Sucker Born Ev’ry Minute (Barnum)
- Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin’ (Oklahoma!)
- Anyone Can Whistle (Anyone Can Whistle)
- You Will Be Found (Dear Evan Hansen)
- Tomorrow (Annie)
This experience should set her in good stead for her latest endeavour, developing her own musical about 17th Century professional poisoner Giulia Tofana!
Always Like New is due out on Concord Records on June 25, 2021, on CD, vinyl and digital. It’s available for pre-order and digital save now.
