New Less Than Jake album will give 2020 Silver Linings

Less Than Jake

Good things come in threes. Hot on the heels of new releases by The Bouncing Souls and Flogging Molly, we’re stoked to share that a new Less Than Jake album is on the way too!

It’s no secret that Less Than Jake have been one of our absolute favourites for decades (Leeds Festival ’99 represent!) so we definitely recommend blasting out the new single Lie To Me while you mark the December 11 album release date on your calendar or Alexa.

Singer and guitarist Chris Demakes describes the album as having “More vocal hooks than a tackle box, horns galore and that bombastic and upbeat energy that we’re known for. We didn’t try to reinvent the wheel with this one, it’s still undeniably Less Than Jake. Just a bit punchier and in your face.”

Regarding follow-up single Anytime and Anywhere, bassist and co-vocalist Roger Lima explained “This song is sort of a shout out to the good times when you’re actually in the ‘silver’ parts of your life or a relationship. It’s a reminder to stop and smell the flowers when there happen to be some flowers to smell… because good times fly by when you’re living them. Cherish those moments and the people in your life that are there for you through thick and thin.”

Silver Linings, the 9th studio album from Gainesville’s finest, will be released on Pure Records. Head to their webstore right now to pre-order, with a range of CD or vinyl + merch bundles to choose from.
