We were saddened to learn of the death of Nigerian drummer, singer and composer Tony Allen at the end of April.
In tribute, World Circuit have released a short film made during one of his two performances at the Church of Sound in London in March 2020. Those Rejoice! shows were meant to be the first of many this year, but that was before lockdown and then the 79 year old legend’s untimely passing.

Allen will be posthumously honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the AIM Awards on August 12. his recent single, We’ve Landed, will be in contention for Best Independent track at the same ceremony.
