Victorious Festival 2022 guide: festival focus

Victorious festival 2022 poster

Victorious Festival 2022 has great things going for it. First is the city centre location, making public transport and indoor accommodation feasible. Secondly, it has eight music areas covering a range of categories (including special places for acoustic, world, and kids music. Thirdly, it supports entertainment beyond just music, with a comedy tent and a literary tent too. You’ll get to see comedians like Rosie Jones, Katherine Ryan, Russell Kane, and Milton Jones. And finally, the festival even has a skatepark!

Among the acts at this year’s festival are Stereophonics, Primal Scream, Paolo Nutini, Sam Fender, The Libertines, and even Sugababes!! Here’s our guide to what you need to know about Victorious Festival 2022.

Location and transportation

Victorious Festival’s central location in Southsea means there are three train stations reasonably close: Porstmouth & Southsea, Fratton, and Portsmouth Harbour. They are 30 minutes or under walk away, with buses and taxis available too.

Attendees arriving on foot have a choice of four different entrances. There is also a bike park near entrance C. If you’re getting dropped off, make sure you arrange with your helpful friend/relative which of the two official drop-off/pick-up locations you will use.

They’ve partnered with Big Green Coach who will offer services from/to Basingstoke, Bognor Regis, Bournemouth, Brighton, Chichester, Eastleigh, Emsworth, Fareham, Guildford, Havant, London Croydon, London Victoria, Petersfield, Poole,
Portchester, Reading, Southampton, Waterlooville, Winchester, and Worthing. Other coaches are available to Portsmouth too.

Here’s something really cool: boat transportation is an option! Ferries are available from/to Gosport, the Isle of Wight, Spain, and France.

If you’re driving, make sure you pre-book parking in advance. Otherwise, you’ll have to find a spot elsewhere when you arrive.

Tickets

At the time of writing, the third release of early bird tickets is out now, making it worthwhile to get yours now if you’re interested.

Day tickets are available, as are weekend tickets with or without camping. Comprehensive ticket information is provided on the official Victorious website.

Logistics and accessibility

As the festival site is so central in Southsea and because it’s so jam-packed with stages, food options, and of course the skatepark, there is no camping on-site. However, it’s possible to book off-site camping if that’s your jam.

We love that the Victorious organisers have published the site map in advance.
